Fried Apple Doughnut Fritters

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 2 eggs

  • ¾ cup milk

  • 1 tbsp sugar

3 apples

Canola oil for frying

  1. Prepare the Batter: Mix all ingredients together until smooth.

  2. Prepare the Apples: Peel, core, and slice the apples into approximately ½-inch thick rounds. Pat dry.

  3. Heat the Oil: Heat the oil to 350°F.

  4. Coat the Apples: Dip the apple slices into the batter, letting any excess batter drip off.

  5. Fry the Fritters: Fry the apple slices for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.

  6. Finish with Topping: Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

I’ve been making apple beignets for ages, and they’re my go-to dessert for Autumn festivals, celebrations, and kids' parties. Crisp, sweet, and deliciously light, these beignets are always a crowd-pleaser!
