J & G Meakin Old Pekin Teapot | 19th or early 20th century | Made in Japan
A like-new vintage octagonal-shaped teapot, likely made of stoneware, with a matching lid. The teapot is predominantly white with green and brown decorative motifs. These motifs include stylized roosters and floral designs, repeated vertically along the sides. The handle is angular, and the spout is slender and curved. This teapot is a J & G Meakin Old Pekin teapot, possibly from the late 19th or early 20th century. J & G Meakin was a British pottery company, and the "Old Pekin" pattern is a recognizable design featuring these rooster and floral elements.
