This broth pairs beautifully with a variety of ingredients:

  • Meats: Thinly sliced beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp.

  • Vegetables: Mushrooms, zucchini, onions, bell peppers, and more.

  • Root Veggies: Parboil potatoes, carrots, or sweet potatoes before dipping.

Variations for Seafood & Vegan Fondue

Seafood & Fish Fondue Variation:

For a lighter, seafood-friendly broth:

  • Replace chicken stock with fish or seafood stock.

  • Swap red wine for white wine or dry vermouth.

  • Add a bay leaf, a pinch of saffron, and fresh thyme for extra depth.

  • Great with shrimp, scallops, white fish, calamari, and even lobster pieces.

Vegan Fondue Variation:

For a plant-based broth that’s just as rich:

  • Use vegetable stock instead of chicken stock.

  • Swap Worcestershire sauce for tamari or coconut aminos.

  • Add a splash of soy sauce or miso paste for extra umami.

  • Enhance flavor with a piece of kombu (seaweed), nutritional yeast, or a dash of liquid smoke.

  • Perfect for tofu, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, and tempeh.

So, grab your skewers, gather your loved ones, and enjoy a fun and interactive meal that’s both delicious and easy on the wallet. Happy dipping!
