How to Make Tzatziki Sauce
Step 1: Prep the Cucumber
Finely dice the cucumber, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and let it sit in a colander for 10–15 minutes.
Gently squeeze out excess moisture with your hands or a clean kitchen towel. Removing water ensures a thick and creamy sauce.
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
In a medium-sized bowl, combine Greek yogurt or sour cream, lemon juice, garlic, green onions, dill, honey, salt, and black pepper.
Add the drained cucumber and stir until well combined.
Step 3: Chill & Serve
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Serve chilled with pita bread, grilled meats, or roasted veggies including potatoes.
